[Maybe it was stupid to go "fuck it" and run away from his mother's house last month, but frankly Kunikaki cannot be bothered to think it was stupid. He is seventeen and absolutely fucking tired of his mother's bullshit and his sister's somehow worse bullshit. (He gets it, he understands that his mother never recovered from her sister's death, but he doesn't have to deal with it anymore.) So yeah, he ran away.

And now he's pretty sure some freak is following him as he winds his way through the city, trying to escape the fucker, but whatever. He'll make do.]

[Heizou grabs up the food and starts to move away.]

Can you wait 'til we get to my place, or are you too hungry for the walk?

[He's starving, but he can force it. He's parkoured on less, after all.]

[He smiles and hands the other his tea at least before leading the way.]

At least take your drink. It's only a few minutes' walk from here.

[He does take his tea, taking a sip.

[A soft chuckle.]

Ah, so he is capable of expressing gratitude. Here I thought I was gonna be dealing with nothing but sass the whole time~

[Heizou snorts, amused.]

You know, I've never tested my limit on that, but I get the feeling that now would be a bad time to try it.

Where do you live?

It's a little apartment building over here. [As they turn the corner onto a smaller street.] I'm on the first floor so I don't bother anyone.

Hm.

[He knows that feeling. The feeling of not wanting to bother people.]

Not the worst apartment building I've seen. You have running hot water, right?

[He chuckles again.]

Yeah. As you can tell, it's not that bad. You're of course welcome to use the bath if you need to.

Only if you also have laundry nearby.

[He has three sets of clothes, okay.]

Not inside the apartment itself, but there's a laundry room on the first floor.

[Close enough to his front door that he has no complaints.]

[Seriously, what is the catch? There's gotta be a catch.]

[Heizou's satisfied enough with that response, smiling and nodding, and soon enough he's getting the door to the building open and moving down the hallway. As they get to his door, he points in the direction of the laundry room.]

Laundry's down that way. Big open doorway, so you can't miss it.

[He wants to eat before laundry.]

Anything else I need to be aware of?

[He hums thoughtfully as he starts to unlock his door.]

Hmm. Don't mind if you hear the upstairs neighbors thumping around. The building's old but sturdy, they just have heavy feet. There are also lots of dogs in the building, so I hope you're okay with animals. Not that they even wander around on their own very often, so you probably won't run into them much.

I like cats more, but dogs are fine. They tend to like me for some reason.

[Heizou chuckles again as he pushes the door open, flicking on the lights and making room for Wanderer to come in after him.]

Oh, is that right? How interesting...

[Idly he wonders if it's the scent. It's a nice scent, somehow both familiar and not. Both of the city and alien to it all at once.]

I'm not an asshole to them. That's all I can think of.

[In he steps, sliding his shoes off and looking around. It is cluttered as hell, with so many books, but...oddly cozy. Messy, but cozy.]

[So many books. And probably many more tucked into places that can't immediately be seen.

That comment makes Heizou turn to Wanderer with a blink, eyes widening slightly.]
