[Reincarnation is a thing that some people believe in, but most don't. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for those people, it's very much a thing and it has been a problem for Kunikaki since day one. Not that he really remembers all that much, it's just vague impressions so far, but he's hated his mother and sister since he was old enough to remember hating them and he's pretty sure it's related to memories of getting abandoned for centuries.
Anyway, he moved out as soon as he could and moved into the city. He's doing pretty well for himself, a history major at the local university and an aspiring author working at the local cat cafe in the meantime, but he's pretty isolated. If he were the sort to say so, he'd say he's lonely.
But he isn't. So.
It's a slow day at the cafe, as it usually is right after an adoption drive, so Kuni is just doing some of the reading for his next class at the counter.]
